OK, so you know how I'm in a band, YOU DON'T, oh well today we had practice and it was pretty cool. We played a song we wrote, some Phish, and Underoath. So we met over at my friend Syd's house, and I finally saw his dad, he is pretty amazing on the guitar. So in Syd's basement there is pretty much a recording studio, and whenever we finish a song we record it. Pretty awesome stuff. So we are giong to learn snow ((Hey Oh)) By The Red Hot Chili Peppers and I have to solo like the whole song, well kinda im just going to loop it once and sing, but whatever. Ya life is good right now. The band consists of Me-lead guitar, Jordan McNaire-Drums, Syd Vaughn-Bass, Parker Curtis-Vocals, and Alex Monson-Rythem Guitar. Ya we are getting better, but still have some work to do.
So I was at church today, and I was setting up sacrament when my quorum leader came up to me and said "So whats your talk on today", and I said "What talk", as a surprised look came to my face I ran down to my scriptures, ripped out the paper with my topic, and ran back. "Church starts in five minutes here is the manual for this year, whats your topic on" he said, "Umm...Sacrifice, I think?" so I sat down and read a couple of scriptures that had to do with the subject, and got a short story, and prepared for this massacre. I got up to start my talk, nervous as anyone, my heart pounding at a million miles an hour, and the words just started to flow right out of my mouth like I knew what I was doing. I thought I was a nervous reck, and sounded shaky, but that must have been the ringing of my heart in my ears. Later on in the day everyone said "Good talk today Chris, hope to hear you again soon" Can you believe it, that it only took five minutes.
